Usage & Directions
Take 10 ml daily, neat or in liquid (e.g. juice or water). Optimal temperature between +2 and +21 °C – briefly the product also withstands more extreme temperatures. After opening, store in the fridge and use within 6 weeks. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Dosage and intake of liposomal curcumin
10 ml provide 205 mg curcuminoids, 80 mg vitamin C (100 % of the nutrient reference value) and 2.5 µg vitamin D (50 %). One 250 ml bottle lasts for 25 daily doses. You can take liposomal curcumin neat or stir it into water or juice; the time of day is up to you. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

What is liposomal curcumin?
Liposomal curcumin is curcumin packed into liposomes. Liposomes are microscopically small vesicles made of phospholipids – the same building blocks that make up the membranes of your body's cells. This shell protects the curcumin on its way through the stomach and gut.
Curcumin is a secondary plant compound from the turmeric root. It is fat-soluble and is considered to have very poor bioavailability: only a little of it reaches the blood from conventional turmeric powder or capsules. This is exactly where the liposomal form comes in. More about liposomes →
Liposomal curcumin vs. conventional curcumin: the difference
The difference lies in bioavailability – the share that actually reaches the blood. We had this measured in a randomised study with 20 healthy participants. One group received a single dose of 250 mg liposomal curcumin from ActiNovo, the other 250 mg of a standard curcumin product. The curcuminoid concentration in the blood was measured at the start and after 2, 4 and 6 hours.
The result: liposomal curcumin from ActiNovo was 47 times more bioavailable than the standard curcumin. The difference was evident at all three measurement points. View the curcumin study →

Ingredients of CurcuVit Liposomal 205: what's inside and why
- Curcuminoids: 205 mg per daily dose, the plant compounds from the turmeric root.
- Lecithin from sunflowers: provides the phospholipids for the liposomes in which the curcuminoids are packed. It is sourced from the EU.
- Sodium L-ascorbate and cholecalciferol: provide 80 mg vitamin C and 2.5 µg vitamin D per daily dose.
- Water, glycerol, sea buckthorn extract, malic acid and rosemary extract: water and glycerol as the carrier liquid, sea buckthorn as a plant-based addition, malic acid as an acidifier, rosemary extract as an antioxidant.
The product is vegan and contains no added flavourings.

Frequently asked questions about liposomal curcumin
Turmeric, curcumin, curcuminoids: what is the difference?
Turmeric is the root, or the spice. Curcuminoids are the yellow plant compounds in it, and curcumin is the most important of them. Turmeric powder contains only a few per cent curcuminoids; CurcuVit provides 205 mg curcuminoids per daily dose.
Liquid liposomal curcumin or capsules: what is the difference?
Liposomes are tiny vesicles made of phospholipids that are stable in liquid. That is why we offer liposomal curcumin as a liquid. In our comparative study with 20 participants, ActiNovo's liposomal curcumin was 47 times more bioavailable than a standard curcumin product.
Does liposomal curcumin need black pepper?
No. Many turmeric products contain piperine from black pepper to improve absorption. CurcuVit contains no piperine; here the liposomes take care of the transport.
How much curcumin per day makes sense?
The recommended intake is 10 ml per day. That is about 2 teaspoons and 205 mg curcuminoids. One 250 ml bottle lasts 25 days. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Why does CurcuVit contain vitamin C and vitamin D?
Vitamin C and vitamin D contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, and vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Is liposomal curcumin suitable for children?
Yes, CurcuVit is also suitable for children, but at a reduced dose: 2.5 ml per day for children aged 1 to 4, 5 ml for ages 5 to 8 and 7.5 ml for ages 9 to 12. For children aged 4 and over there is also our dedicated All-in-One for kids.
Does curcumin have side effects, and who should not take it?
CurcuVit is designed to be well tolerated. If you have gallstones or a disease of the bile ducts, take anticoagulants or other medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before taking it.
How long does liposomal curcumin keep after opening?
After opening, keep the bottle in the fridge and use it up within 6 weeks. Unopened, it is best stored between +2 and +21 °C.
